善良的女秘书的目的

　　讲述一个女性主义童话故事，为《一千零一夜》的新编，聚焦两个相爱的女人Cherry（麦卡·梦露 饰）和Hero（艾玛·科林 饰）：Cherry与邪恶的男子Jerome（埃米尔·艾尔-马斯里 饰）结了婚，Jerome与他的朋友、好色的恶人Manfred（尼古拉斯·加利齐纳 饰）打赌，看Manfred能否在100晚之内勾引Cherry，如果Manfred成功，Jerome就把城堡和Cherry送给他。对此毫无兴趣的Cherry与她的女仆兼情人Hero策划了一计：在那100个夜晚，Hero将给Manfred讲述一些吸引人的故事，让Manfred从勾引计划中分心。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
