　　格罗夫（亚历山大·潘克拉托夫 Aleksandr Pankratov 饰）是50年代风靡一时的踢踏舞皇帝，如今的他早已经走下了舞台，走向幕后，在当地的歌舞团做艺术指导的工作。青年工人阿尔卡基（彼得·谢尔巴科夫 Pyotr Shcherbakov 饰）对踢踏舞非常的感兴趣，他想拜格罗夫为师，然而，格罗夫却觉得这个小伙子并没有什么舞蹈天赋，对他避之不及。　　一天，格罗夫在电视上看到了自己当年热舞的画面，哪知道主持人竟然说他已经辞世了。这件事情的发生让格罗夫开始想要将踢踏舞重新展现在观众们的面前，他将舞蹈编排成为了节目，并且找来了阿尔卡基作为演员。

Ante (Goran Bogdan) is a peasant from Dalmatian hinterland, a son of an bull fights organizer, and skilled insurance salesman. He is known by his powers of persuasion. At the voting for the Law for animal protection, biggest controversy is considering bull fights. Sonja (Judita Frankovic) is from Zagreb, an inveterate activist fighting for animal rights. In Dalmatian hinterland nobody can understand her attitude. They conclude that Sonja, regardless of the declared intense love of animals, would not dare stand in front of a bull.
